Interstate Rest Areas and Welcome Centers
Interstate Rest Areas, Welcome Centers, and West Virginia Turnpike Travel Plazas are displayed on the map below.
In the interest of public safety, the Division of Highways (DOH) allows certain community service organizations to utilize these rest areas and welcome centers during certain holiday periods and high traffic volume weekends to distribute coffee or other similar products in an effort to enhance motorist alertness. The conditions associated with such usage, which must be approved in advance by the DOH, are outlined in the attached policy document. Please note that the DOH also anticipates issuance of a revised policy document in the near future.
