Parkways Authority Board Meeting

PURPOSE: To consider and act upon all matters that may properly come before a meeting of the Parkways Authority Board. These matters may include discussion of and possible Board action on the following: Approval of the minutes of the May 9, 2013 Board Meeting and the May 23, 2013 Special Board Meeting; Approval of contract BSR-1-14, shotcrete repair of selected bridge substructure units by pneumatically applied mortar; Approval of contract HVAC-1-12 for new HVAC systems at the toll plazas; Approval of design funds for Bluestone Parking lot paving; West Virginia Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (WVARF) janitorial services contract six (6) month extension from July 1, 2013 to December 31, 2013 for Charleston Administration Building, Milepost 69 Rest Area and the Princeton Welcome Center; To discuss and take action upon the declaration by the general engineering consultant, HNTB Corp., pursuant to the requirements of the trust indenture(s), that 1.89 acres, more or less, of Turnpike right of way/property near the City of Marmet, WV, beginning at a corner to VIRCO Land LLC, 197 feet right of and at right angles to ( I-77) centerline at station 2233+95.00, is excess and not needed for Turnpike purposes. Any sale of such property to be conducted by public auction to the highest bidder for cash in hand on day of sale after proper public notice with such conditions of the sale as are deemed proper by counsel and HNTB for protection of the remaining right of way; Approval of Fiscal Year 2013/2014 Parkways Budget and Budget Resolution; Other items which may become apparent or need attention and may be added to the business agenda of the meeting; attention is called to the fact that the agenda of the meeting will be available three days in advance by calling 304-926-1900 or at the website www.wvturnpike.com; items of business may be added to the agenda up to 48 hours prior to the date of the meeting.
