Kanawha City DMV Announces Skills’ Testing Time Change

11/9/2011

CHARLESTON, W.Va.-Effective immediately, the Kanawha City Regional Office of the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will stop accepting applicants for driver’s license skills’ testing at 5 p.m.  All applicants should report to the Kanawha City Regional Office no later than 4:45 to ensure they will be able to take the skills’ test.  Commissioner Joe Miller approved the change in skills’ testing time due to clocks being set back an hour last weekend.

According to Miller, “The safety of our customers and employees is of my upmost concern.  With it getting darker earlier in the evening now, I feel it is in everyone’s best interest to stop taking skills’ test applicants at 5:00 p.m. at the Kanawha City Regional Office.”
