Welcome to the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles’ website!
I’m Joe E. Miller, and I was privileged and honored to be reappointed in January 2009 by Governor Joe Manchin for my second term as Commissioner of the DMV. Previously, I served the DMV from 1997-2001. DMV has a great story to tell, and the DMV website is one of the key ways we have chosen to deliver our message.
Providing quality, efficient customer service is of the upmost importance to me. I want to encourage you to explore the website and take a look at everything DMV is doing. You’ll see that we strive to go above and beyond our mission:

We have 23 Regional Offices across the state equipped to serve the driving public, and a Call Center staffed with knowledgeable individuals ready to answer questions and meet your needs.
I’m proud to be at the helm of the West Virginia DMV again. Our customer service representatives are some of the best you’ll find. I appreciate the hard work and loyalty of all DMV employees-those working behind the scenes and those on the front line.
