Mapping Applications

West Virginia Department of Transportation (WVDOT) Facility Locations - This is an Adobe Flex Builder application (requires Internet Explorer 7 or higher to view) created to show the location of State owned facilities.

WVDOT Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) - The STIP is a federally required document that provides the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) a listing of all projects that are candidates for federal-aid or regionally significant projects that are not using federal-aid funding. This application is linked to the DSTIP.

WVDOT River Port Locations - This is a JavaScript application showing the location of river ports in the State.

WVDOT Airport Locations - This is an Adobe Flex Builder application (requires Internet Explorer 7 or higher to view) created to show the location of West Virginia airports. In addition, a hyperlink has been added to each Airport's webpage.

WVDOT Snow Removal and Ice Control West Virginia 511 Know Before You Go website showing the current road conditions (requires Adobe Flash).

West Virginia American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Reporting - An Adobe Flex Builder application (requires Internet Explorer 7 or higher to view) that shows the ARRA Economic Stimulus Reporting data.

WVDOT Coal Resource Transportation System (CRTS) - In March, 2003, Senate Bill 583 was passed establishing the Coal Resource Transportation System (CRTS) in fifteen southern West Virginia counties. On those designated routes, coal haulers may purchase a permit that would allow for a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 120,000 pounds depending on their truck configuration. This web mapping application is an Adobe Flex technology based one (requires Internet Explorer 7 or higher to view) allowing coal haulers to view the system on the map and query information on routes and bridges.
