WV Transportation Coordinating Council
In 2004, Governor Bob Wise created by Executive Order the West Virginia Transportation Coordinating Council (WVTCC) to study issues pertaining to the effective and efficient use of transportation resources in the state. This Council discuses the coordination of transportation services, the elimination of waste and overlap caused by duplicate agency efforts, the elimination of service gaps to enhance citizen access to transportation, as well as other transportation-related issues. It also applies for grants when funding becomes available.
Currently, the Council meets biannually. Council members include State agencies representatives and other interested parties such as public transportation providers.
